Within the wide expanse of the northern canyon resides the Earthen King: Harthem. This powerful mass of muscles rules with a code as sturdy as his element. Many of his people have actually taken up residence within the walls of the gorge he has called his domain. This proves to be little trouble as he is able to bend the soil and stone to his whim in order to fashion any structure required within mere moments. Completely surrounded by the earth he controls, Harthem has near immeasurable power at his fingertips. He does not gloat over this, however, trying to remain as close to his people as possible and not get lost in his position as king.
I tried out some home-made metal textures on the sword there, I think the one in the middle came out more towards stone than metal, but considering the earth-y theme of the guy, I think that's okay. Overall I think it came out well.
Very cool. I love it! The sword is really good, you researching how to make stone/ metal texture really helped. His tattoo looks awesome, I like the idea of it.
I must say I don't much like his face though, it looks almost crooked, I'm not sure if you were trying to make hi look that way or not, but it just isn't appealing to me.
Over all it came out very well, the muscles are good, I know your not much for drawing sweaty muscular guy bodies, but you did a great job on this one.

Everyone has a photographic memory... some just don't have film!
Good muscle definition, nice simple design. What's not to love here?
The sword turned out nice and the earthy texture to the steel makes it look just the way he'd like it. Damn good work for a home made texture. The simplicity of the symbol just makes everything nice and easy on this guy. I realize now that anything more than that done in bodypaint would just be a hassle. Good to see this all worked out.
I'd say I can't wait for the next one, but I know that you got stuff going on and I'll have to, but that'll just make it all the better when it arrives.
Glad to hear that you like it I have a computer assisted art class now, so there's a possibility I might be able to get the next one out faster than I though, however they don't actually have photoshop and I'm not really used to their weird program... In any case I'm hopin' to get a place soon
